Who we are and what we do
Cloudopulse was founded in Mombasa in 2019 by a small group of software and design practitioners who had all spent time working with larger tech firms and noticed the same gap: businesses in Mombasa and the wider Coast region were being left behind by digital tools built for Nairobi's fast-fiber offices or for completely different markets overseas. We set up to fill that gap. Today our three-person core team handles web builds, booking system deployments, and product catalogue setups for clients across Mombasa's neighbourhoods — from Nyali and Bamburi in the north to Tudor, Likoni, and the Old Town. We work with hair salons, physiotherapy clinics, pharmacies, food vendors, boutiques, and repair shops. The common thread is that every client has a real local customer base they want to serve better, not global ambitions. By the end of 2024 we had completed over 60 project engagements, and more than 80 percent of new clients come to us through a referral from an existing one — which tells us the work holds up in practice, not just on launch day.

How we work — and what we don't do
Every engagement starts with a 45-minute discovery call — in person at our Nkrumah Road office or over a phone call, whichever suits you. We map your current customer journey, identify the one or two digital changes most likely to move the needle, and give you a written scope with a KES price before any work starts. We build in phases so you can review and redirect before we're deep into something that doesn't fit. Our indigo-accented design system is clean and professional by default, but we adapt colours, fonts, and tone to match your brand — the finished product should feel like you, not like a template. There are areas we stay out of deliberately: we do not run paid advertising campaigns, we do not manage social media accounts on your behalf, and we do not offer 24/7 support contracts. Our own work is strongest when the scope is focused — a website, a booking system, or a catalogue — done properly, handed over clearly, and then built upon when you're ready for the next step.
